Derrick Christian Morales , Esq. (New York and Florida)

Associate Attorney

Derrick Christian Morales is a vibrant, well-spoken, charismatic, energetic and cultured man of Puerto Rican descent.   He is fluent in English and Spanish.  He graduated from Barry University with a bachleors degree in political science and a minor in business and achieved his Juris Doctorate at Nova Southeastern University.

He began working in the legal industry at the age of sixteen (16), when he started an internship with Kramer Levin Naftlis & Frankell, which is headquartered in the heart of Manhattan in New York City.  Attorney Morales continued to intern for the following three summers.  These experiences inspired him to be respected, educated and admired like the attorneys that he worked with.   After he graduated with his bachelors, he worked under attorney Kramer Levin with Davis Polk & Wardwell, a timeless, respected firm in New York City. Derrick worked as a docketing clerk at the managing attorney’s office.  

After finishing law school, he was admitted to both the Florida and New York Bar, passing on the first attempt.  Derrick started his own practice and has had great success in both Florida and New York.  He has experience litigating family law, probate, criminal law, civil disputes, class action disputes, workers compensation and a litany of other areas of law and legal services.  He is currently involved with the NFL concussion and military ear plug class action cases.   

Attorney Morales has a passion and care of helping others.  Outside of the legal field, He became close with Jonathan May while they volunteered as attorneys for Dade Legal Aid.  They helped clients that cannot afford legal services obtain legal advice, or paired them with attorneys that will take on their case without charge.  He has displayed great leadership and vision by creating the Gentleman’s Empowerment Group, which is designed to help men achieve greater success in life through education and networking.  Additionally, Derrick is the Chief Legal Officer and a member of the Board of Directors with Strive to Recovery.
